ABOUT US

BACC members certificates and standards:

Baltic Automotive Component Cluster (BACC) is a public entity driven cluster which was established in 2013.

Today it consists of 19 members - 16 automotive companies, 2 education institutions (Kaunas University of Technology and Kaunas School of Mechanical Engineering) and Kėdainiai Free Economy Zone.

The main number of cluster members are located in Lithuania as convenient geographical location in terms of transit between Europe and Russia. General cluster members annual turnover more than 250 million EUR, the general number of employees – more than 2800.

Cluster activities are aimed at supporting and strengthening the competence of partner companies along the entire value added chain.

Meeting with Robert Bosch GmbH

BACC had the unique opportunity to represent cluster, Lithuanian engineering industry and their potential to the Robert Bosch company. "During the meeting with the BOSCH Vice president of Purchasing Strategies, Methods and Governance, we presented opportunities doing business in Lithuania, activities of BACC, discussed about strengthening relationships, how to enter into Bosch supply chain etc, and we are are looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship in the future" - says Darius Lasionis, Chief Operating Officer of BACC.

 

 

Participation in "Global Automotive Components and Suppliers Expo", Stuttgart, Germany.

20-22 June, 2017

Baltic Automotive Components Cluster (BACC) and two members of BACC CIE LT Forge and Hi-steel participated in the international trade fair “Global Automotive Components and Suppliers Expo", Stuttgart, on 20, 21, 22 of June.  During the fair companies met existing and new potential clients, signed new NDA's and started a new collaboration.

Hannover Messe 2017, forum "Automation and Industrie 4.0 in the Baltics - meet the experts"

25 April 2017

The forum was organized by German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (AHK).

Mr. Mindaugas Sinkevicius, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania, opened the forum. 

During forum was presented Engineering Industries Association of Lithuania LINPRA and BACC and promoted awareness of the Lithuania engineering and automotive industry.

 

 

Participation in the "Economic Forum Baltic States" (Munich, Germany)

6-7 March 2017

BACC with representatives of politics and business from the Baltic States and Bavaria participated at the "Economic Forum Baltic States" organised by

German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (AHK).
Chairman of the Board of BACC promoted awareness of the Lithuania engineering and automotive industry and spread information about its potential at the seminar.
During B2B matchmaking event all the participants had the opportunity to meet and create new partnerships

The Scandinavian business mission “Go Global Lithuania"

12-14 September 2016

The Scandinavian Automotive Supplier Association (FKG) during business mission “Go Global Lithuania” visited manufacturing companies in Lithuania on 12th -14th of September. FKG is a trade association for the Scandinavian suppliers to the automotive industry who are members of European Association of Automotive suppliers CLEPA.

Several businessmens from different Swedish automotive companies have met with manufacturing companies in Lithuania and discussed possible co-operation. The whole business mission was a success, as the useful contacts and a great co-operation potential between swedish manufacturers and members of Baltic Automotive Components Cluster were established.

Meeting with DAIMLER AG to discuss investment opportunities in Lithuania

BACC cluster member company "Investment Partner" Member of the Board Mr. Giedrius Valuckas and Ambassador of Lithuania to Germany Mr. Deividas Matulionis had a meeting with representative from a multinational automotive corporation DAIMLER AG Mr. Michael Averhoff.

 

„Mr. M. Averhoff presented corporation’s co-operation and development plans, we discussed friendly business environment in Lithuania, situation in engineering sector, possible supply chain, activities of Baltic Automotive Components Cluster and favorable investment options in Lithuania.“ – says Giedrius Valuckas.

Today in Lithuania we have several suppliers delivering components directly or via other companies to DAIMLER AG. And we are definitely looking forward for more co-operation and new projects in the future.

Head of purchasing of Volkswagen from Regional office Eastern Europe has visited Lithuania.

4-5 September, 2017

   The purpose of the visit was to  scout and meet potential Lithuanian suppliers.    

BACC (Baltic Automotive components cluster) was a partner of this visit which provide the information about potential Lithuanian as well as Latvian and Estonian companies and helped to arrange all meetings.             Several companies have been selected as very promising and we are very happy on that. Well done!    

In the nearest future the representatives from quality division of Audi are going to start Quotation process.  Welcome to Lithuania AUDI!
